Blurb
When Dara Ellis sets out to do research for a new article, she gets much more than she bargained for. Vampland is a hedonist’s playground. It’s the hottest new dance club in town, and her inspiration for showing women how to embrace the bad girl within. But it’s the club’s owner who really gets her pulse racing, first in lust, and then in fear when she learns who–and what–he is. But Trey is far more than a creature of the night. He’s a flesh and blood man with gifts given by a higher power. And only the love of the right woman can save his soul from the darkness growing closer. But will Dara take a chance on a creature of as much myth as man? Or will fear deny the love burning brightly between them?
Review
Dara works for a sexy women’s magazine and plans to write a story about the life of a “bad girl.” To do so, she and her friend dress up in Goth clothes and goes to the hottest dance club in town, which also caters to sexual fantasies and unusual lifestyles. While there, she meets the club’s owner, and her life changes forever.
Trey is a vampire, but he’s different than most of his species. Tasked by the Elders to feed from and kill those with a dark aura, he despises himself for what he must do but doesn’t regret it. Then he meets Dara, and her light shines on his darkness in ways he never expected.
Dara and Trey are wonderful characters, and they have instant chemistry. Smart, strong heroines are the best, and I especially enjoyed how Dara handled learning Trey’s secrets. No whiny, wimpy heroines in this book! Trey is so hot, and I love tortured bad boys!
I wish this novella would’ve been longer, but it told a full story with a HEA. For anyone looking for a quick vampire romance, this is a good story to read.
