Review
In book two in the Warriors of Lemuria series, Panthera shifter Aramie is desperate to find a cure to pull Demir, her Pride leader, from his coma. As Demir’s second in command, she has taken over the Pride and changed a long-standing rule that prevented mated females from fighting in battle. After she loses two females to the evil Gossum, not only does she have to deal with her own guilt, but Demir’s anger and disappointment as well.
Despite being in a coma, Demir has been awake mentally and knows what has been happening around him. He’s always treated Aramie as one of his warriors, never seeing her as a woman until he’s gravely injured. He’s fallen in love with her. Then Aramie discovers a rare, sacred stone, which heals him. Should he take Aramie as his mate and destroy the warrior within her, or let her go and give up the woman he craves?
I enjoyed this story. Demir wasn’t the nicest of guys in the first book, so I’ve been anxious to see how he redeems himself. He didn’t disappointment. Sacrificing himself for Noeh, the Lemurian king, in the last book was the best thing Demir could’ve done. He finally realized all the wrongs he’s committed, and he was determined to make amends. I love it when sexy bad boys get taken down a few notches.
Aramie was a kickass woman who could knock powerful men, allies and enemies alike, on their behinds. Her fear of spiders, however, didn’t fit with her tough persona.
It was great to see Noeh, Melissa, Gaetan, and some other characters from book one again. I especially liked all the scenes with Zedron and Alora back on the planet Lemuria.
I’m definitely interested in reading the next book in the series.
