Review
In book three in the Warriors of Lemuria series, Tanen finally catches up with the traitor, Mauree, after a long chase. Hes determined to protect his king and people by any means necessary, but hes not a warrior—hes a scholar and the council leader of the Stiyaha race (an alien race from the planet Lemuria that now lives on Earth). After a few Gossum attack and nearly kill him, he seeks shelter on a humans property, never expecting he would meet the love of his life.
Nurse Sheri Lockwood tends to the injured man in her shed. Hes nothing but trouble—just like her absent father and her drug-addicted ex-husband, Ram—but shes drawn to him. Then she realizes hes not human, and her life turns upside down.
Tanen and Sheri are great characters. He craves redemption for his sins and finally proves he is a strong, honorable man. She faces her fear and stands by Tanens side in a spectacular fashion. The chemistry between them is off the charts. There werent many sex scenes, but thats understandable because the course of this story takes place in a few short days.
Ram returns after dying in the previous book, Untamable Lover, and Im so happy he did. This book wouldnt have made sense without him!
I liked the scenes with Alora on Lemuria, but she keeps making mistakes and letting Zedron get her into trouble. Im anxious for her to fight back.
I like Ms. Redds writing style. The story flowed well and kept my attention, but sometimes I didnt know who was speaking (one character would act or think something, and another character would speak in that same paragraph).
Anyway, Im excited to read the next book in the series.
