Danger follows her to the cabin in the woods at Star Lake, where an old ghost from her past reappears on Christmas Eve, hellbent on revenge, and the madman tracks her through the underground caves at the lake. Shots are fired. A body drops to the ground. Is it Kyle Miller, the love of her life, who followed her to the cabin to propose on Christmas Eve? The air is thick with treachery and deceit. The body count is rising and old friendships are put to the test. But Madison Rand believes in miracles, especially at Christmas time.

Review

When a detective tells Madison
her business and highly skilled employees have angered someone so much to make
them commit murder, she closes up shop. Her dad and a friend died last year
and, though no one questioned their deaths at the time, the cops now believed
they were murdered. Madison tries to break up with her boyfriend, Kyle, but he
won’t have it. She flees to a winter cabin for safety but when a madman from
her shady past is on the loose and hell bent on revenge, no one is safe,
especially the murderer’s prime target. Through chases, shootouts, murder and
kidnapping, Maddie and Kyle find it hard to stay together and stay alive.

This heart pounding novella
will have you on the edge of your seat. I kept turning the pages, or rather
clicking my kindle buttons, to find out what happened next. I loved this
murder-mystery, crime thriller romance set at Christmas time.
