I don2527t read a lot of mysteries but this one kept my interest.
Detective Abby Sanders is investigating the death of an 18 year old girl, Mandy Carter, who looks a lot like her own teenager daughter. Mandy2527s body was discovered a foot deep in the sandpit of the local golf course and Abby soon tallies up a long list of suspects. Was it Mandy2527s boyfriend who2527s been lying to the cops? Was it Derek who wanted to hook up with Mandy? What about Tom, her boss? Josh2527s high society mom certainly didn2527t like Mandy. Did she do it? Or what about a number of other people? As Abby deciphers clues and weeds through the lies, she pieces everything together and makes a startling discovery.
This fast paced mystery keeps you on the edge of your seat. With so many suspects and possible reasons for any of them to commit murder, Abby is definitely up to her neck in ‘what ifs.2527 I enjoyed the investigation procedure as Abby questioned and detained people, and I was pretty sure who the killer was about midway through the story but then things changed and wham! I didn2527t see that coming. I love it when I2527m surprised at the end and this book delivered.
