In the second

knows a thing or two about investigations but the first thing he does when he

Christina is
hurt, angry, and confused over her sister’s actions. Alli killed two people in
the previous book and now she’s on the run from the police. Before Alli left,
she entrusted Winnie, her adorable two-year-old daughter, to Christina. When
she and Waylon team up to look for Alli, Christina knows she needs to tell him
the truth that Winnie is Waylon’s daughter. The entire Fitzgerald family knows
it, but the sexy MP has no idea. As the clues lead to answers they didn’t
expect, the most important person in Christina’s world—and Waylon’s—goes
missing in the wilds of a snowy Montana ranch.

I really
liked Waylon. He’s protective, goal-oriented, and he knows what he wants. I
liked Christina for the most part, but her protectiveness toward her lying,
murderous sister annoyed me a little. Though tension and false assumptions threatened
to wedge between Christina and Waylon, they have great chemistry and the love
that built between them was quick but believable.

I didn’t
expect the twist at the end, and I absolutely loved it, but I don’t understand
how Alli and Lisa knew each other. I wish there would’ve been a scene with
Waylon telling Winnie he’s her dad. It would’ve been totally sweet and
heartwarming.

Anyway, I
liked this story a lot and I’d love to read the third book in the series.
Colter is introduced, and he definitely seems like a sexy man I would like to
get to know better.
