Blurb
The job should have been simple—patrol a swank beach that serves as a backyard for Maui2527s rich, kick out the riffraff, and get a tan in the process. But rent-a-cop Samantha Winters didn2527t anticipate a deliciously grumpy cop, Sergeant Grady Roark, who comes down to the beach to bust her chops and instead leaves her breathless…and wondering why the one man who could help her seems determined to thwart her at every turn.
Grady is keeping secrets from Sam that have him walking the line between attraction and duty. But when Sam becomes the target of a shadowy organization, Grady will have to choose between the law and the temptation of a woman who has him breaking every rule he2527s ever known.
The job should have been easy, but when the bullets start flying, Sam learns nothing is as easy as it seems when you2527re a Gun for Hire.
Review
“rent-a-cop” job, and she2527s determined to do her job no matter what the
townspeople think of her. It2527s just too bad there2527s one gorgeous cop who is
equally determined to give her a hard time.
respects her and can2527t stop thinking about her. When Grady enlists Sam2527s help
on a case and then her information turns sour, he thinks she2527s played him, but
then the tangled truth comes out and sets them on a path overrun with danger,
murder, and mystery.
a lot of pain and regret, and she can2527t forgive herself for her mistakes. She
hides her vulnerability behind a wall of smart-mouthed comments, but I loved
her take-no-bull attitude and her deep sense of responsibility. Grady is chivalrous
and understanding, but he hides his true self behind a wall, too, though only
in front of Sam. He2527s a neat freak, and I loved the way Sam ruffled him up. The
sexual tension between them sizzled, especially when they were fighting.
so I didn2527t feel as though I got to know Grady very well. He grew on me, however,
once I learned his history and understood his attitude toward Sam.

interesting as I did Sam and Grady2527s.
are very detailed, and I couldn2527t get enough of it.
and this book definitely had it. I really enjoyed the story.
