Excerpt – Rated PG-13

Drina slipped her hand beneath the waistband of her pajama bottoms and panties to stroke her clit. A slight tremor sharpened her breath. She gently pinched the bit of flesh, circled her finger over it, and raised her hips for a better angle. Moaning, she pushed in and out of her core.

Her memory of Rubén taking her on the balcony quickened her pulse.

His talented fingers had plucked, pulled, and thrust, driving her so insane that she lost all sense of rhyme and reason, at least until her orgasm subsided in a wave of shame.

How foolish she’d been to let the past ruin her afterglow. She hadn’t betrayed her deceased husband by enjoying another man’s touch. Rubén was an excellent lover, so as long as she kept her heart away from him, she could use his body for her own pleasure.

Frustration seared her. Stop thinking! You need to feel. Surrender.

She thrust faster, deeper, drawing closer to the elusive O. So close. She was almost there.

Then the pressure faded like smoke in the wind. “Maldita sea,” she cursed and patted her clit, demanding it wake up.

“Need help?”

Rubén’s throaty, masculine voice froze her body in mid-thrust. She collapsed back on the mattress and shot up into a sitting position while grabbing the twisted sheet to cover her still-dressed self. Blinking hard, she peered through the shadows cloaking the room. Movement snagged her gaze as her captor shifted his arm and reclined in the massive, overstuffed armchair near the bathroom door. Madre de Dios. His hand was down his pants!

He pumped himself twice more before he swaggered toward the bed. The gaping lapels of his shirt revealed dark chest hair, and the patch of curls at the apex of his thighs pushed past the open zipper of his slacks.

“Rubén, why are you in here? You should leave.” He’d heard her scream after all. She scurried back to the headboard. Her heart pounded hard enough to bruise her ribs.

“Is that what you really want?” He flipped on the bedside lamp and yanked away the sheet. “No, I think not.”
