This cowgirls not impressed by his money, his name, or his inability to sleep in a tent with her for an entire night, but every look and touch she gives him sends his desire through the roof. With a director determined to use his claustrophobia to make him look like a fool, and an adversary so sexy he can hardly see straight, hell need all his savvy to come out on top. Too bad hes going to lose no matter how this show turns out. If he beats Bella, hell destroy the first woman hes ever loved. If he doesn’t beat her, its bye-bye Mortimer Innovations.

Will either of them remember in time that its not who wins or who loses – its how they play the game that really counts?

Review

In book four in the Cowboys of Chance Creek series, veterinarian Bella Chatham will soon lose her animal clinic and shelter if she doesnt get some money. Fast. Then her friend, Hannah, enters Bella into a reality TV show. If she wins, shell receive five million dollars. If she loses, shell have to marry the billionaire and lose her shelter.

Billionaire Evan Mortimer needs to get married within a month, or hell lose control of his familys corporation. His emotional and psychological baggage prevents him from getting close to a woman, so he has to resort to drastic measures—like entering a TV contest—to secure a wife and not cause a scandal.

Bella and Evan were awesome. I loved their competitive streak, their trash talk, and the slow burn of camaraderie that developed between them. Their biggest challenge, however, wasnt the physical tasks set before them by the show. It was dealing with the show itself and trying to build a secret relationship with an entire country watching them. Talk about nerve-wracking.

The story was set mostly in Canada during the filming of the show instead of Montana like the previous books, but I found this change to be refreshing.

Other than some distracting info dumps, I enjoyed the story and was smiling at the end. Its a fun book, especially if youre a lover of reality TV. Im not, but Ive seen them enough times to appreciate this story for all the behind-the-scene looks at what could happen on those shows.
