October 6th is finally here! Breaking Her Enforcer, my latest dark romance in the Lozano Cartel series, is now LIVE.
But first, I should say that I never intended to give Ángel Rascón a story when I first created him. You might remember him as a secondary character in Corrupting His Wife, but after he was shot trying to save the life of that book’s heroine (aka: Lourdes), I realized he had more to say and deserved a happily ever after. Ángel agreed and kept whispering to me, telling me who he wanted as his love interest. I’ve long stopped arguing with my characters, so when one demands a story, I write it. It’s the only way to avoid lying awake at night trying to talk us all out of it.
While Ángel and Marisol’s romance does have the creep factor (stalking is wrong no matter how you frame it), these characters are damaged enough that it pulled them together in ways a safer, more ordinary beginning never could.
Readers, I hope you give their book a chance. It’s only 99 cents, and the price will go up a week after release day.

Blurb
A drive-by shooting lands him in the hospital. And in the arms of temptation.
Cartel enforcer Ángel Rascón knows he should stay away from the woman who saved his life. Marisol is a sensual blend of fire and innocence, irresistible to his inner beast. She’s also the little sister of a man now on the run from the cartel—Ángel’s friend and former partner. Getting involved with her could destroy everything he’s worked for, but when she’s threatened, it’s game on.
Physical therapist Marisol Cruz knows Ángel is dangerous, yet he’s always there. Watching. Waiting. Wanting. After her brother’s enemies track her down, Ángel appoints himself her protector with every intoxicating kiss.
Ángel will have to risk his position—and his life—to keep her safe. But Marisol faces the most devastating choice of all. Loving her stubborn enforcer may mean losing her brother forever.

Excerpt
Marisol clutched his shoulders. His taste of man, spice, and wine rocketed her need into the red zone. His firm hands gripped her waist through the fabric of her dress. She pulled back just enough to drag in air. His scent of soap and an underlying layer of musk heated her bloodstream to molten lava.
Más. She needed more.
She smoothed her fingers over his furrowed brow and the crow’s feet at his eyes. Heat radiated from his body, nearly searing her skin.
“What do you need, Marisol?” He brushed his lips across her hairline. “Should I make you scream, cry, and shatter into a million pieces? Should I push you down to your knees or flip you to your back? Just say the word. This time, I’m going to focus on you. Give you whatever you want. Next time, you’re going to give me what I want.”
“I want us to want the same things.”
“My tastes run to the extreme side of dirty.”
“Then we’re in luck.” She cupped his testicles through his pants and squeezed. He jerked in her grasp and hissed a naughty sound through his clenched teeth. She smirked at him. “I’m a dirty girl in need of a big, strong man to make me shatter. You’d better be up for the task.”
“I’m Señor Badass, remember?” Breathing harder, he clasped his hand over hers and shoved his cock into her hold. “Bedroom. Now.”
Desire and raw power coursed through her. She pumped him twice, then released him and strutted from the room with a sway in her step. Please don’t trip, she silently pleaded as her weakened knees threatened to lock. Her heels clicked on the floor in time with her racing heart.
She pushed open the bedroom door, and there he was, crowding behind her and ushering her inside the room. The door slammed shut behind her. He strode past her to the nightstand, where he pulled the lamp chain. A swash of soothing golden light pushed back the shadows. Then he was on her, gripping her hips and licking the line of her throat. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders and froze.
Dios mío. His shoulder. She snatched back her arms and stepped away. “I’m sorry. I forgot about your injuries. We should slow down.” Her heart skipped as he clasped her upper arms just hard enough that his nails bit into her skin. Another wave of desire flooded her. His nostrils flared as though he could scent her arousal. Maybe he could.
“There’s nothing you can do that will hurt me, Marisol. My shoulders—all of me—are at your disposal.”
“That sounds too good to be true.” She plucked at the fabric of his shirt. “If you pull a muscle or hurt yourself, let me know. I’ll rub you down with the eucalyptus oil I have in the bathroom.”
He dragged her closer and cupped her face with his right hand. “You call that a warning? Go ahead. Oil me up and use me like a slide.”
Marisol giggled and swatted his chest. “You’re a tough guy, I get it. Now, take off your clothes.” Anticipation quickened her pulse. The previous day, she had her clinical glasses on during his session. Not anymore. Her inner vixen longed to play.
