#BookReview: “Scream for the Billionaire” by Penelope Ryan

Blurb

Jenna: I signed up to walk around an adult club in sexy lingerie—not be the main show. But a misunderstanding has me fully bared before a crowd while a mysterious stranger in a mask has his way with me. And now I’m desperate for more …

For the month of October, I’ll be spending my evenings at Scream, an adult club that’s been converted into a sexy-scary thrill ride to celebrate the Halloween season. I only signed up to wear skimpy costumes and serve drinks, but when a costume mix-up has me up on stage with the sexiest man I’ve ever seen, I find myself giving in and falling deep under this man’s control.

But can I continue to carry this lie? And when feelings get involved, can I get out unscathed?

Adrian: Not once in running my high-end adult club have I ever mistaken one of the women’s identities. And of course the first time I do, it’s me up there with her—and I find myself absolutely mesmerized.

I need to see her again, feel her body underneath mine. But when I look her up in our system, the woman I see is not the woman I’d spent the best night of my life with.

Obsessed, I need to find her. I know she’s one of the Halloween-season hires, meaning I only have a month to find her. A month to make not just her body mine, but her heart too.

Review

For the whole month of October, Jenna is waitressing tables at a Halloween-themed sex club. It’s going to be her last big adventure before she settles down and accepts her mundane life. Her first night on the job, however, a man in a devil costume carries her onstage for the most thrilling experience ever. After all, she’s dressed like an angel, and angels were meant to fall.

Adrian is captivated by the new performer at his club. It’s love at first sight for him, but when he realizes the woman he seduced onstage isn’t the person he was assigned to be with that night, he does everything in his power to find her.

Jenna and Adrian had so much chemistry. I’m not usually a big fan of insta-love, but this one was well done. It has a HFN ending, which I preferred since the story was so short and the characters had only known each for a short while. I wish the story would’ve been longer to delve deeper into the characters’ past and their future together, but this story does hold up well as is.

I read an ARC, so there were a few minor typos that I suspect Ms. Ryan will fix in the final copy.

Readers, if you love Halloween erotic romance with fun characters, you’ll enjoy Scream for the Billionaire.
